An astrology reading can help you understand your strengths and make sense of patterns you have noticed in your life. Your birth chart provides a starting point for exploring what motivates you and how you tend to respond in relationships. This can bring overlooked abilities into focus, help you see where your strengths lie, and show you how to develop your potential further. A reading also offers a chance to step back and consider what you want from the year ahead. Think of the forecast like a weather forecast, pointing to possible opportunities and periods that may call for more patience or care. You can use it when making plans, with your own judgement and circumstances guiding the choices you make.
How I read a chart
I believe that astrology can give us valuable insights into our lives, our strengths, and which areas of life are likely to benefit from our attention in the future.
I practise Western astrology and begin with the foundations of your birth chart: the planets, signs, houses and major aspects that describe its central themes.
I prefer to identify the strongest patterns rather than overwhelm you with every possible detail. A chart can contain an almost endless amount of information, but the most important themes usually appear repeatedly. My task is to find those themes, connect them and explain what they may mean in the context of your actual life.
For forecasting and life timing, I use two complementary methods:
- current and forthcoming planetary transits
- secondary progressions
The two give different perspectives. Transits often describe the pressures, opportunities and developmental themes arising around you. Progressions show the slower inner changes that unfold over years rather than months.
Where both point at the same months, I say so, and those become the dates worth watching.
Every reading is made by hand. The chart itself is calculated by software for accuracy, but nothing after that is automatic. I sit with your chart, work out which patterns actually matter, and record the reading myself. Nothing in it is generated by AI or assembled out of stock paragraphs.
What you receive
Your reading is prepared personally from your birth date, exact birth time and place of birth.
The recording
A private MP3 audio reading of about forty-five minutes, which you can listen to whenever you wish and return to later. People often find that different parts become more meaningful as events unfold.
A written document
A summary of the main themes and timing periods discussed, together with a copy of your birth chart and the dates I refer to in the recording.
Your questions answered
Once you have listened, send me whatever the reading raised and I will answer in writing. One round of questions, any time in the first thirty days.
The recording covers the strongest patterns in your natal chart, the major influences active now and over the coming period, and practical reflections on how these may relate to your work, relationships, creativity, direction and personal development.
The recorded format allows me to give your chart proper attention before delivering the reading. My aim is to help you make sense of what you are experiencing now and consider what the year ahead may bring.
An example reading
Here is a full reading, made the same way yours would be. I have used Agatha Christie’s chart rather than a client’s for two reasons: her birth details are a matter of public record, and you can check what I say about 1929 and 1930 against what actually happened to her.
If the player does not load, watch it on YouTube.
Yours would be private and about you, and it would arrive as audio with the chart in the written document rather than on screen. Otherwise this is the work itself.
How it works
You email me. Tell me your date, time and place of birth, and anything you particularly want the reading to address. The button on this page opens an email with those questions already in it.
I reply within two working days to say whether I can take it on and when. I only work on a few readings at a time, so occasionally the answer is a date a few weeks out.
If you want to go ahead, I send you a link to pay by card. Nothing is owed until that point.
Within fourteen days the recording and the document arrive in your inbox.
About me
My name is Lloyd Bridger. My background is in psychology, research and writing, and I have spent much of my working life studying how people perceive the world, make sense of experience, and respond to influences that are not always conscious.
Alongside this work, I have a longstanding interest in astrology and symbolism. I am particularly interested in timing: what a chart might suggest about a period when you feel ready for change, or when progress seems slow.
My readings combine careful chart analysis with intuitive interpretation. I explain what I see in your chart in plain English and treat forecasts as possibilities.
What this is, and what it is not
I do not regard astrology as a machine that dictates fixed events. Nor do I believe that an astrologer should frighten people with absolute predictions. I see the chart as a symbolic map of character, timing and possibility. Your circumstances and the choices you make will affect how things turn out.
Astrology is most valuable when it helps you recognise what is already stirring in your life. A reading can help you put difficult experiences into words and think about changes you might want to make.
I give no medical, legal or financial advice, and I will say nothing about how long anyone will live. Readings are intended for personal reflection. If you are experiencing serious distress, I will suggest seeking appropriate professional support. If I feel a reading would be unsuitable, I will explain why before accepting payment.
Questions
I don’t know my birth time
If you were born in Scotland it is on your birth certificate, because Scotland records the time for every birth. England, Wales and Northern Ireland record it only for twins and other multiple births, so most people there have to look elsewhere. The usual places are a parent’s memory, a baby book, the red child health record, or the hospital, which still holds maternity notes for many years and will release your own on request.
If it is genuinely lost, send what you have. I can still read the chart. I will leave out the parts that depend on an exact time and I will tell you in the recording which parts those are.
How long does it take
Fourteen days from the point you pay. If I am running behind I will email you rather than let the date slide quietly.
Can I buy one for someone else
Yes. Gift readings are welcome, provided the recipient knows about the reading and agrees to share their birth details.
What happens to my birth data
It stays on my own machine and I do not pass it to anyone. If you want it deleted after the reading, ask and I will delete it.
What if I am unhappy with it
Tell me within fourteen days of receiving it and I will refund you in full.
